Pauline Moynat, the only woman trunk-maker in history, founded Moynat in 1849. At the same time as the establishment of the French railway system, the house registered numerous patents, particularly for train luggage. Later as a pioneer in the automobile adventure, Moynat also specialised in custom-made trunks that fitted the contours and were matched to the colour of the car body. Moynat has always been recognised as a symbol of discreet and uncompromising luxury with the ultimate Parisian charm. The boutiques in Paris and London and its first "gallery" in Asia at LANDMARK have become the first destination for connoisseurs looking for splendid and unusual pieces.
