Hermès Brings Inimitable Style To LANDMARK

JAN 17, 2018

Find fresh inspiration and a unique shopping experience at the stunning new Hermès store at LANDMARK PRINCE’S

Newness permeates not only the start of the year and the upcoming fashion season, but also esteemed French brand, Hermès, which marks 2018 with a new store at LANDMARK PRINCE’S.

Located at the crossroads of Ice House Street and Des Voeux Road, the store brings its Central location newfound prestige. It is designed and built by Parisian architecture agency RDAI, and draws stylistic influences from Hong Kong architecture. The copper-coloured anodised aluminium façade is inspired by the city’s bamboo scaffolding.

This is most befitting, as Hermès and Hong Kong share over four decades of history. “After opening our first store in the city in 1975, we have continued the dynamic expansion of our presence,” says Axel Dumas, Chief Executive Officer, Hermès. “This new destination marks a significant milestone for Hermès and is a delightful occasion to celebrate the long-standing relationship between Hong Kong and our house.”

Comprising three floors – ground, mezzanine and upper – totalling 9,167 square feet, the new Hermès home offers a natural light-filled luxury shopping experience. Entrance made through the main door on Ice House Street opens onto spaces dedicated to women’s silk, fragrances, and jewellery accessories, while the second entrance on Des Voeux Road leads into the men’s universe.

The mezzanine floor – a central space with alcoves on either side to showcase jewellery – is where you will find women’s ready-to-wear, gloves, hats, watches, leather goods, and a private powder lounge. The upper floor accommodates homeware.

A palette of warm hues teamed with mosaic and parquet flooring peppered with rugs make for a welcoming ambience. Store windows are given artistic treatment by French duo, Zim & Zou. “Our ongoing collaboration with artists to design windows displays demonstrates our attachment to an always inspiring creativity,” says Elsa Rameau, Managing Director, Hermès Hong Kong and Macau.

Creativity also extends to the Women’s Spring/Summer 2018 Pre-collection, featuring new interpretations of the maison’s equestrian heritage in patterns and on leather, and to the new special edition, Hong Kong-inspired clutches, Sac à Malice (bag of tricks).

Come and discover true class and originality presented by masters for yourself. As Monsieur Dumas says, “It is with great pleasure that we open to you the doors of our new home in Hong Kong. Welcome one and all!”
