Bo Yun, born Li Yong-cun, graduated from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and taught at the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University from 1981 to 2005. Now a freelance professional artist, Boyun was featured in the first and second Stars Art Exhibitions, and his works have been exhibited extensively in France, Japan, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
Boyun’s bold brushstrokes magnificently illustrate the breath-taking beauty of Heaven and Earth and vividly convey the spirit of life. His series of paintings exhibited in LANDMARK ALEXANDRA is dominated by blue and portrays Earth’s diverse landscapes. “Dawn” depicts the desolated Arctic at daybreak. After six months of icy darkness, the Arctic finally ushers in spring as the landscape becomes distantly visible, snow and ice slowly melting away in still, chilly air. Rays of sunshine render the Arctic grounds golden, bringing boundless energy and vitality to the landscape.
