Bo Yun, born Li Yong-cun, graduated from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and taught at the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University from 1981 to 2005. Now a freelance professional artist, Boyun was featured in the first and second Stars Art Exhibitions, and his works have been exhibited extensively in France, Japan, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
Boyun’s bold brushstrokes magnificently illustrate the breath-taking beauty of Heaven and Earth and vividly convey the spirit of life. His series of paintings exhibited in LANDMARK ALEXANDRA is dominated by blue and portrays Earth’s diverse landscapes. “Melody of Clouds” demonstrates the vicissitude of cloud formations. It evokes the common experience of observing the boundless sky above the clouds on air plane, which constantly morph into unpredictable shapes and forms – soft and airy at times, yet dense and heavy at others. It captures rays of sunlight that glimmer through heavy layers of billowing clouds, filling the cosmic space with a powerful yet mysterious vital force.
